Gospel Principles

As a disciple of Jesus Christ and a member of His church, there are principles and standards. I choose to live and conduct my daily life by these standards. Through sharing my application of them in my life I hope to help others see the difference it can make. It is by and through living these principles that I hope to help others come unto Christ.

1 Nephi 15:14 “… they shall come to the knowledge of their Redeemer and the very points of his doctrine, that they may know how to come unto him and be saved. ”

Classes Once Offered During Church

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, there used to be classes that were available for us to attend on Sundays after the sacrament meeting. One of those classes was gospel Principles. There is a book that goes along with the class. The book is titled Gospel Principles, it can be purchased at a small cost at any Deseret Book store.

I have provided an online link for this manual. The book is published by The Church & was written as a teacher’s manual and personal study guide. Through attending this class I was able to better understand my Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the principles of His gospel.

Understanding

It deepened my understanding of the importance of faith. The need for repentance & baptism. The gift of the Holy Ghost also became more clear. Those will be some of the first topics I write about here.

I have learned more about our Heavenly Father and our Heavenly family. It was here that the importance of other gospel principles and so many other wonderful things became more clear. As I share with you the lessons taught and the knowledge I was able to gain I hope that it will answer questions you might have.

There are 47 chapters in this book, each of which discusses a different gospel principle and its importance. Only some of these topics will be addressed on my blog. This list can be found on my Principles of the Gospel post.

Ask questions you may have in regard to any of these topics or any other gospel related topic. I don’t know everything, in fact, what I know is limited. Where to turn for guidance and direction is something I have learned.
